As alumni, we realize the benefits of our experiences at Ohio State and have many fond memories of our college days. The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Los Angeles is committed to giving students from Southern California the opportunity to sing the praises of Ohio State. Our student recruitment committee visits thousands of young students each year in an effort to attract top students to Ohio State. Most importantly, OSULA awards up to $1,500 in scholarships each year and recently established a $15,000 endowed scholarship in the club’s name.

Student Recruitment

Throughout the year, OSULA represents Ohio State at several college fairs around Los Angeles. We pass out OSU literature and answer the questions of potential new Buckeyes. Fairs are generally held on weekday evenings. It's easy, OSU provides 'facts and answers sheets', and we always send you with others who have done it before. Bryan Esser

Bryan Esser is a second year at OSU. He is majoring Materials Science and Engineering as well as French language, with a minor in Photography. Bryan is a member of the Ohio State Men’s Crew in the heavyweight novice eight, which took 4^th at the American Collegiate Rowing Association’s national championships in Oklahoma City this year. Coming from Altadena, Bryan has worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for over 3 years now, and recently took a new position as a summer student engineer with a microchip fabrication group at JPL.
